Domaine Gerovassiliou
On the slopes of Epanomi, a few kilometers from the city of Thessaloniki, a meticulously-tended vineyard surrounds the modern winery, where the renowned Ktima Gerovasiliou wines are produced.
Ktima Gerovasiliou is the brainchild of Vangelis Gerovasiliou. In 1981, he started reviving the family vineyard extending over 2.5 hectares in the Papamola region of Epanomi, approximately 25 km southeast of Thessaloniki. In this unique ecosystem he planted mainly Greek, but also foreign grape varieties.
Domaine Gerovasiliou is open to all wine lovers and anyone wishing to get to know the world of wine and agriculture. Visits comprise a short walk around the vineyard, a tour in the wine-production, bottling and ageing areas, and of course the Wine Museum situated at the heart of the winery. Be prepared for a unique wine tasting experience in the special wine-tasting rooms, while enjoying a spectacular view to the Domaine’s vineyard.
