Neos Marmaras is one of the most cosmopolitan villages in Halkidiki. It is a picturesque area that was built amphitheatrically on top of a hill and is situated 56 km south east of Poligiros. The village was founded in 1922 when many immigrants came from Asia Minor. Today, the village attracts thousands of visitors every summer and all kinds of facilities can be found: hotels, restaurants, fish taverns, bars, cafe, water sports.
The area is gifted with some of the most beautiful beaches in Halkidiki. Golden sand, eucalyptus trees and a picturesque harbour lined with excellent fish-taverns, Neos Marmaras is considered an excellent choice for your vacation. Just outside the village stands the modern and luxurious hotel complex of Porto Carras, offering three hotels, a marina, an open-air theatre, a golf course and a casino.
